Holiday Cheer Box Ideas are a Great Way to Bring Joy
If you are a holiday lover, you are going to love these holiday cheer box ideas! For us, the holidays is about Jesus and bringing joy to others. We think the idea of gifting someone some holiday cheer in a box is a joyful way to support others. Plus, the more celebrations the better, in our book! We even have some holiday cheer box printables for you to print and include in your gift boxes.

We came up with several different ways you can present your gift. We keep our cheer box full of some essentials as well as some festive surprises.
Holiday Cheer in a Bag
In the holiday cheer in a bag idea, we include a small Christmas gift bag that the person using the gift can reuse.
In this holiday cheer in a bag, we included some holiday lip balms, holiday party plates, Christmas treats, and small Kleenex packets. The contents are gifted inside the bag. We have placed bags like this in our local church pantries. These small stand-alone pantries are often located outside of the churches. We simply slide our bag right onto a shelf, hoping just the right person will come along and find it.
Holiday Cheer in a Box, Basket, or Bin
The holiday cheer in a box works exactly the same way except the contents given in a small box, basket, or bin rather than a gift bag. The basket can be repurposed by the recipient for many things. We find our plastic baskets or bins at Dollar General typically for $1 each.

Holiday Cheer in a Pan
This idea includes giving the baking pan with the cookie mix and accompanying items. Additionally, we add a few other holiday non-essentials – just for fun!
How Much for Putting Together Holiday Cheer in a Box?
Like anything else, the price of putting together a holiday cheer in a box gift will vary based on what you add to the box. For the gifts we featured here, the prices varied from $12 to $15. We like to keep it under $12 as much as possible. We get most of the items from Dollar General or good sales from other stores. When possible, we split items up so we can stretch them among multiple gifts – such as a 5 pack of tissue packets.
Of course, our ideas are not only for those going through tough times. These holiday baskets can also be a welcome gift any friend, neighbor, student, or coworker!
