Snowman Paint Night is Great for Winter Fun
Are you brave enough to let your kids paint canvas paintings in the house? Our aunt is very brave and she has now hosted multiple paint parties for kids at home – including this snowman paint party! Read on to learn the details about our snowman paint night!
Host a Snowman Paint Party for NYE or Any Time in Winter
A New Year’s Eve party at home is a bit more complicated when trying to figure out how to include the kids. This snowman paint party can be hosted at a New Year’s Eve party for kids or during any time of the winter season.
In fact, adults can join in, too! Everyone loves a snowman!
Our aunt set up the snowman paint party for kids at her New Year’s Eve party. It was a casual party, and the kids had a ton of fun painting the night away in the living room.

Setting Up an Art Station at the Party
Our aunt had the living room all set up for the art session. She set up folding tables and chairs in the living room. Then, she put down big plastic drop cloths all over the floor and tables. This was to protect the floor from any paint splatters.
Our aunt had a canvas, a paint brush, a small paint tray, and lots of paper towels set out for each child.
To save time, our aunt had already painted all the canvases with a blue paint for the background. It was nice and dry when we started so we were ready to work on the snowman right away.
Who Teaches the Paint Session for Snowman Paint Night?
Luckily, with modern day technology, you can bring an art teacher right into your living room or garage on your own TV or projector. As long as you can access YouTube and display the screen large for all to see, you can host a kids art party at home.
Harper Says…
There are many wonderful art teachers and artists on YouTube who can guide you through painting a certain art design.
Our aunt chose a YouTuber artist who showed us how to paint a snowman with specific directions. It is like the guided art projects we do at school. It was really easy to follow her steps at this paint a unicorn party! He showed us an easy snowman painting on canvas to try to copy.
What You Need to Set Up a Snowman Paint Night at Home
If you buy things in bulk, you can get things cheaper (at least that is what our dad says).
Pack of 10 Canvases (size 8×10)
18 Pack Acrylic Paints in Bright Colors
50 pack of Paint Brushes for Kids
Norah Says…
You can give your snowman a big head or a small head. It can have a long nose or a short nose – just so long that it is orange.
Mom Says…
This snowman paint night was a very relaxing way to allow the kids to do something fun while the grown ups enjoyed some adult chit chat during the night.
Other Occasions for a Painted Snowman Themed Party
Even though our party was held on New Year’s Eve, a snowman paint party would be perfect for any time in the winter. You could have a snowman paint birthday party or a Christmas snowman theme party, too!
It would also be super fun to host a snowman themed party for neighborhood kids on a snow day, but you would have to have your supplies at the ready if that was something you hoped to do.
As we already mentioned…everyone loves a snowman! You don’t even need kids to host this party! A snowman paint and sip party would make for a fun ladies night out without the kiddos!
