We love a good party here at Arkansas Girls! Read on to learn the details about this fun unicorn paint party at home! We attended our cousin’s birthday paint party when she turned 10. We had so much fun! If you are planning a unicorn party for your daughter, read on to see why we enjoyed it so much!
Why Have a Unicorn Paint Birthday Party at Home
An art birthday party at home is a more economical way to host a party for creative kids and their friends. You can buy the canvases, paint, and brushes for a fraction of what you might pay to have your unicorn paint party for kids hosted at an art venue.

Who Teaches the Paint Session at a Kids Paint Party at Home?
Luckily, with modern day technology, you can bring an art teacher right into your living room or garage on your own TV or projector. As long as you can access YouTube and display the screen large for all to see, you can host a kids art party at home.
There are many wonderful art teachers and artists on YouTube who can guide you through painting a certain art design.
Our cousin had selected to paint a unicorn at her party. An artist went through the steps one by one on the TV screen while all of us kids followed along. It was really easy to follow her steps at this paint a unicorn party!
Setting Up an Art Station at the Party
At our cousin’s art birthday party, our aunt had the living room all set up for the art session. She set up folding tables and chairs in the living room. Then, she put down big plastic drop cloths all over the floor and tables. This was to protect the floor from any paint splatters.
Our aunt had a canvas, a paint brush, a small paint tray, and lots of paper towels set out for each child. Once everyone arrived, the kids took a spot at one of the tables and got ready to get their creative juices flowing!
To save time, our aunt had already painted all the canvases with a blue paint for the background. It was nice and dry when we started so we were ready to work on the unicorn right away.

Norah Says…
Using paint is fun with making unicorns. It’s best to use a lot of bright colors so the art looks cute and pops. It would be cool to see how much art you can make with these types of paint parties for kids.
This was fun birthday party for our cousin! I am happy with how my unicorn came out, and I have my unicorn painting hanging in my room.
Harper Says…
I liked the unicorn paint party because the instructions showed us how to paint the basic unicorn. But you can change it and do your own special colors – whatever colors you like. We used white, purple, blue, and pink. Oh, and we also sprinkled on gold glitter.
You can make your own little designs with the hair, the eyes. You can make the head however big you want it to be or however small you want it to be. You can put your own designs on the background.
Mom Says…
I’m not even going to lie. I was nervous for my sister-in-law when I walked in and realized all the kids would be painting in the LIVING ROOM. But she had it totally under control and had the floors covered with the drop cloth. She had also recommend that guests wear non-special clothing as it might get paint on it.
All in all, this party was a hit! The kids’ paintings turned out great, and this party was more cost-efficient than some of the paint parties we have been to at various art shops.
