12ozGreen melting chocolate candiesor use almond bark with a bit of green food coloring
48Heart sprinkles
Instructions
Using a food processor or a Ziplock bag with rolling pin, crush the Oreos until finely ground.
In a second mixing bowl, blend up softened cream cheese. Mix in the crushed Oreos. Stir well until all the crumbs are coated.
Using a small cookie scoop or a heaping teaspoon - divide the dough equally to create small balls and roll between the palms of your hands to round out the edges as best as possible. Set on a piece of parchment. Continue until all the dough is shaped.
Place the sheet of parchment on a cutting board or sheet pan that will fit in the freezer. Freeze for 1 hour to solidify the dough balls.
Pour candy into a microwave safe bowl and heat for 30 seconds, then remove and stir well. Repeat the heating and stirring process until the candy is completely melted.
Remove cookie balls from the freezer, and dip them into the melted candy, coating the entire ball. Place the candy coated cookie ball on parchment paper to set.
Before the candy coating sets, add one red heart sprinkle to the top of each ball.
Once you have coated all of the cookie balls with melted candy and placed sprinkles on them, refrigerate for 1 hour to allow the candy coating to set.
