Ingredients to Add to a Beach Charcuterie Board/Mermaid Charcuterie Board
- Prepared Blue Jello Mermaid Cups
- Mermaid Popcorn
- Cupcakes with ocean color sprinkles
- Jelly candies – whale shapes, fish shapes
- Goldfish
- Fresh fruit in ocean themed colors – blueberries, kiwi slices, grapes
- Cheese cubes (especially for kids) or cheese wedges (for an adult party)
For our kid themed parties, we usually keep it simple with mermaid popcorn, mini mermaid cupcakes, and mermaid Jello cups! Just click on the links for our recipes for the popcorn and the gelatin cups. Then, buy yourself some vanilla cupcakes with vanilla frosting and add the sprinkles yourself! Easy peasy!
How to Arrange a Mermaid Charcuterie Board
Start by placing larger items on the board, such as a pretty bowl of sprinkles. Then, arrange the cupcakes in two opposite sections of the board with the sprinkles bowl in the middle. Use popcorn and/or any other smaller items, such as nuts or crackers to surround the bowl and fill in the gap spaces. There should still be two larger outer sections open. In these spaces, add the Jello mermaid cups. Finally, fill in any gaps with ocean-inspired candy or other small items to add visual interest.
Decorating a Mermaid Charcuterie Board
For a mermaid themed party, keep your tray more mermaid-y like ours is by adding mermaid sprinkles and candy mermaid tails and little forks (Dinglehoppers) to the cups (a special Little Mermaid movie treat).
Fill in some of the candy mermaid tails anywhere you find extra space on the board.

If you want to make your beach charcuterie board more beach-y, just add marine-life inspired candies to the tops of the gelatin before it completely sets. You can also add some graham cracker crumbs to the top of one side of the gelatin cup for a true ocean charcuterie board effect, instead of the fork (Dinglehopper).

- 1 Charcuterie board
Ingredients
- 6 cups Popcorn Mermaid popcorn (prepared)
- 12 Vanilla cupcakes Mini
- 8 Jello cups Blue raspberry
- 8 Gummy candies
- 1 cup Sprinkles
Instructions
- Gather prepared popcorn, cupcakes, and Jello cups.
- Place the sprinkles in a small dish in the center of the charcuterie board.
- On the right and left side of the center of the board place 6 cupcakes on each side, leaving a bit of space between the sprinkles and the cupcakes.
- Next place 4 jello cups on the top of the board and four cups on the bottom in a line, filling the space between the mini cupcakes on the left and right, but leaving space between the jello cups and bowl of sprinkles in the center.
- There will now only be space surrounding the sprinkles in the middle. Fill in all the center space with the mermaid popcorn.
- Invite guests to dig in!

- Leave the mini cupcakes only frosted and not decorated. This will all the ocean charcuterie board to become more of an activity by allowing guests to dip each cupcake into the sprinkles and decorate their own cupcakes.
- Let guests add any sprinkles to their gelatin cups as well.
