How to Make This Fun Halloween Drink with Orange Fanta

There is not a whole lot to putting this simple eyeball drink together! We simply combine the three juices. Then, we pour some ice and eyeballs into glasses. Finally, we top the ice and eyes with the juice and add a straw embellished with one more eyeball! Easy peasy!

One optional step is to drop a few drop of red gel food coloring down the straw and over the exposed eyeball for an added dramatic effect.

The end result should be a creepy eyeball drink!

Where to Buy Gummy Eyeballs

You might luck out and find gummy eyeballs in the Halloween season at a Walmart or Dollar General. If not, you can find them on Amazon. You have to be careful that you are ordering the gummy eyeballs and not the bubble gum eyeballs. There are multiple brands of gummy eyeballs on Amazon.

Note that most packages include only a few in the package. Out of two packages, you may only receive eight eyeballs. If you are making a lot of drinks, using multiple eyeballs in each glass may get pricey. If so, it may be the case that you need to only add one eyeball to each drink – either one exposed eyeball on the straw or one eyeball bobbing near the top of the juice in the glass. It will still look cute and festive! Of course, you can always make your own with this gummy eyeballs recipe.

We suggest sturdy plastic straws or reusable straws for this drink since you must insert an eyeball into the straw. Paper straws are too flimsy for this sometimes. Also, the paper straws will eventually deteriorate if they are in the liquid for too long.

Safety Precautions for Red Orange Halloween Drink with Eyeballs

When it comes to making Halloween drinks – especially for parties where other kids and parents will drink – safety should always be our top priority. Here are a few tips to keep in mind to ensure that this Halloween kid’s drink is delicious and safe for everyone to enjoy.

  • We wash our hands thoroughly before and after handling food or liquids. This helps to prevent the spread of germs and bacteria.
  • We use clean utensils and equipment when making drinks. This includes bowls, spoons, measuring cups, glasses, and any other tools we may need. Mom says it is best to clean as we go so there is not a huge build up of dirty things laying around. This also helps make things easier for clean up at the end.
  • It’s important that we check the expiration dates on all of our ingredients before using them. Using expired ingredients can lead to health issues.
  • Finally, we keep our work area clean and free of clutter. This helps to prevent accidents and spills.

How to Store and Serve

This drink is best served soon after being made. Obviously, since orange Fanta is a carbonated soda, it can go flat if left around too long out of its original container. We recommend preparing and serving this drink just before a party starts.

Of course, you could make it within an hour or so of the party and keep the filled glasses in the fridge.
