Stars Party Food Ideas
You may have caught our moon and sunshine party for the solar eclipse and our outer space party over on our sister site. We were able to incorporate a lot of the same snack ideas into all of these parties!
We had so much fun coming up with our reach for the stars party food! A lot of it is ordered from Amazon. We had many of the deliveries right to our doorstep. However, many of these items can easily be found at your local Walmart, Kroger, or other favorite grocery store.
The graduation cupcakes came from our local Kroger. We couldn’t find any with stars so we added our own stars sprinkles when we got home.

Stars Party Decorations
What vibe are you going for – metals and neutrals, bright pops of color, black and white with touches of silver?
For stars party decorations, you can simply set up a cute table with either a stars tablecloth or a solid color. Personally, we love our iridescent tablecloth that coordinates with the hanging iridescent moon and stars decorations we bought. Vertical hanging moon and stars decorations are cute on the wall or dangling from light fixtures.
As you can see, we went with the iridescent look for Harper’s elementary school graduation party.
But these decoration can be used for any type of stars theme party – and the pink iridescent is especially cute for a girl party of any type!
A simple letter board with the party theme quote always adds an extra touch! We would recommend not displaying words on the garland in addition to a letter board with the same quote. It might be a bit much. But you could use a letter board with the quote and then simply a garland of stars.
DIY Graduation Garland
Since every guest at the party (except for little sister) was also a 5th grade graduation and classmate, we wanted the party to be a celebration of everyone and not just of Harper. So we printed pictures from the graduation ceremony and events throughout the year and tried to have two pictures of each guests to string together for a cute DIY graduation garland for the mantel in the living room. We had a plain banner with burlap polka dot triangles and we just clipped the photos to that.
It turned out cute!
Balloon Arch
Well…we had a bit of a mishap with our stars balloon arch. Let’s just say we were naive to think our balloons could withstand 95+ degree Arkansas heat at the end of May. The balloons popped one-by-one until about 1/3 of the arch was missing by the time the party started. Oops!
We did get some pictures with it anyway, but it is nothing we are willing to show here!
Reach for the Stars Graduation Bingo Game
For an organized activity, we played this graduation Bingo game. It was a hit! For prizes, Mom had bought this big pack of beaded bracelets. She put them on a tray, and whenever someone called Bingo, that girl was allowed to choose three bracelets from the tray.
Well, we hope you enjoyed our Reach for the Stars party ideas for a 5th grade graduation party! Again, these ideas are not just for 5th grade. You can make them work for a variety of graduation types!
